This route with it's outstanding natural beauty begins on a pleasant quiet mountain track with interesting views of unusual rock formations. We make our way up the dried river bed of Rio De Sal (Salt River) where at certain times of the year salt is visible on the rock surfaces. As we cross an ancient viaduct the distinctive aroma of wild flowers and herbs fill the air.
On reaching the peak it opens up in to a panoramic view of olive groves, almond, orange and lemon tree's. At certain times of the year these are in full blossom.
We will then move on to the near by city of Orihuela, where you will be shown the histriocal city centre which has numorus places of interest.
